Hi! I’m Payal. I was born in India, and grew up in a beautiful town nestled in the Himalayas. Those sacred mountains deeply influenced my love of nature- you’ll find lots of wildflowers and birds in my prints.

I now live in Florida and love all things coastal- the many moods and colors of the ocean, the white boats, the elusive sea creatures that we see so often. My designs are a culmination of all the places I've lived in, and all cultures I've experienced.

The name IslaPayal derives from the little isles that surround the southern coast of Florida.

I have a traveler’s soul. I love experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. I speak 4 languages. Every IslaPayal dress is named after a beautiful place I’ve been to, or plan on visiting- Malaga, Amalfi, Positano, Windsor, Ascot, Cornwall, Corfu…That's why I love designing clothes that you'd enjoy wearing to these lovely places.

I love the creative aspect of IslaPayal. Every print starts from a sketch, and is carefully planned out. I never use ready printed stock fabrics, or blocks you can buy from the Jaipur bazaars. We carve our own. It’s a beautiful slow fashion princess that involves many generational artists- I love that we create wearable art.

Finally, and most importantly- all our production is sustainable and ethical. Fair wages, excellent working conditions with ample breaks and holidays, the finest cotton fabrics. I visit the factory floor in Jaipur every year, to ensure that we adhere to my strict standards. I am proud to tell you that we really value our artisans, and this reflects in the quality of printing and workmanship you see in the IslaPayal dresses.

Made with love. Pass the love on!!
